Best Price Rokinon 85M-N 85mm F1.4 Aspherical Lens Reviews
The Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 Manual Focus Lens for Nikon is an ultra-bright lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.4. Although you can only use this lens in manual focus mode, it is fully compatible with the automated features available with digital SLR cameras. It is compact and lightweight, and offers the ideal focal length and bright aperture for use as a portrait lens.

I rate it 5 stars because of its price and performance. When I first got this lens, I was about to return it the next day because I had problem trying to manually focus at F/1.4. But I tried again on the weekend when I had more time to play with it and the setting on my Nikon D300, I was so happy that I didn't return this lens. I had tried the Nikon 85mm 1.4 before, and of course, I like the Nikon a lot, especially its fast AF, and it takes excellent portrait photos, but because of its high price that I was hesitated to buy it at first, so I gave it a try on the Rokinon. Trust me, guys, when you get a hand on the Rokinon and know how to manually focus this lens, you will love it. You will actually have more fun with this lens and appreciate the outcome more of your works.

I use this lens to shoot video on my Panasonic GH1. Is the best lens you can get within that focal range and aperture, even though I haven't compared it directly with a Nikon glass, many reviewers say it has the same optic quality as the nikons, even ken rockwell says so: [...] (Vivitar, Rokinon, Bower, Samyang 85mm 1.4 are the same lens under different brands, seems that Samyang is the Korean? company that makes them).
Why is this the best lens to shoot video within that focal range and aperture? because you are not paying extra for stuff that you don't need when using a nikon or canon to m4/3 adapter, like autofocus and metering, just a very good piece of glass.
